South East Asian Fashion Experience

The Grade 8’s Southeast Asian Fashion Show was held last August 20, 2014 at 2:30 to 3:30 PM inside the Good Shepherd Cathedral School Gymnasium. Ms. Romalyn Villuruel, Sir Patrick Reyes, and our former Learning Integration Specialist , Ms. Demi served as this event’s judges with the Grade 9 Humility students as audience.
   This was the Grade 8 students’ group performance task given by; Mr. Marco Paolo M. Lovendino, FSGP and Ms. Jackielyn Tubog. The goal of this project is to unleash the hidden creativity of the students through creating and sewing national costumes inspired by the original ones of their assigned countries.
   For both class sections, 10 countries of the Southeast Asia were showcased, each presented by a single male and female model. In order of appearance of 8 Honesty models: Brunei (modeled by Vince Morales and Trish John Dela Pena and Kissa Icatlo), Indonesia (modeled by Bernard Gan and Kaye Salino), Laos (modeled by Dominic Venezuela
and Maybelyn Bacena), Malaysia (modeled by Mark Salvador and Gisselle Caparroso), Myanmar (modeled by Paulo Joson and LJ Delos Reyes), Singapore (modeled by Ian Pinon and Kristen Pujol), Thailand (modeled by Angelo Mojica and Alex Digos), Timor Leste (modeled by Aaron Ramirez and Tricia Cabaccang), and lastly, Vietnam (modeled by Jed Genovea and Justine Pamoceno).
   A big round of applause was given to Gisselle Caparroso as the best female model and Vince Morales as the best male model. Then another applaud given to the best group score for Brunei (modeled by Vince Morales and Trish Carigma, with their group members being Christlyn Macatangay, Leanard Galsim, and Ram Rajni Lagutan).
